Security Industry Authority updated licensing statistics

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) has published the licensing statistics for the annual period up to 30^th November 2020 and we have compared this to the figures issued up to 31^st August 2020.

There have been no major changes in the trends, however, there is an increase of 6,042 licences held giving a total number of valid SIA licences of 426,465.

The age group of licence holders has also changed slightly with an increase of 0.5% in the 18 to 25 years of age group holding an active licence.

The uptake in applying for a licence after gaining the relevant qualification has decreased by approximately 1%.
