Updated SIA Licencing Statistics

The Security Industry Authority has published their latest statistics, for the annual period to the end of August 2020, covering qualifications and licencing.

• During the past year a total of 61,137 individuals have taken the relevant courses to enable them to apply for an SIA licence, however, just under 64% have actually gone on to apply for that licence.
• The Door Supervisor is consistently the most popular licence to hold with 65% of all licence applications being in this sector. Security Guarding is second with just 17% of licence holders.
• Overall the number of licence holders has changed very little during the past month with a reduction of just 148 active licences.
