Who are we?

The company was founded and is still owned and managed by one of the UK security industry’s most experienced professionals, John Malcolm. Before he founded Pace Security, John served in the Metropolitan Police force.

He then joined Consolidated Safeguards in 1980 and founded Trident Safeguards in 1985. This led to six years working in Australia at various security posts before he returned to the UK as Securiplan plc’s managing director.

In 2001, John recognised the need for a new, professional security company that people could trust.

Backed by 40 years of experience, he hand-picked a team of industry professionals who shared his vision, to create Pace Security. Over twenty years later, Pace Security has grown to become the security provider of choice. Winners and Finalists of the Security and Fire excellence awards and the Outstanding Security Performance awards

We are one of London’s leading provider of uniformed guarding, visitor services, CCTV and mobile patrols &  fulfil contracts across the UK.

Our clients range from London’s most prestigious multinational businesses, universities and ongoing contracts.

We are now an ever-growing team of personnel, primarily London-based, continually supporting the security industry through collaboration with the City Security Council and proud signatories of the Women Safety at Night charter.
