International Security Officer Day – The day to recognise our frontline security staff

On International Security Officers’ Day we would like to celebrate and thank all the security teams for their dedication and hard work to keep us safe 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The role of the frontline security staff has changed dramatically over the last 10 years, and every day we find security officers working in very challenging environments where they are dealing with events such as medical emergencies, suicide attempts and violence alongside their normal duties.

There are approximately 430,000 frontline SIA licence holders in the UK and today we should appreciate their hard work and stop and say ‘Hello and Thank You’ as we pass by.
