ACS Pacesetters Member ExcluSec recognised in annual UK Heart Safe Awards 2018

The ExcluSec Group are proud to announce receipt of the Professional Services Award 2018 in the 7th annual UK Heart Safe Awards from the Hand on Heart charity. The charity works tirelessly to help prevent deaths of young children suffering cardiac arrest and their annual awards event was held on 26 October at the Hilton Hotel in Deansgate, Manchester.

ExcluSec were shortlisted for the Professional Services category of the awards and Group Quality and Compliance Director, Michelle Khan, commented: “We’re really proud of the recognition received from these awards. We added defibrillators to our mobile response vehicles back in 2016 and all our mobile response officers are fully trained in emergency first aid and the use of these automated external defibrillators (AEDs). We strive to provide the best possible service to clients at all times, and the availability of AEDs in our vehicles means we have the ability to provide support in emergency cardiac arrest situations. This is the first time we’ve been nominated for a UK Heart Safe award and all the team at ExcluSec is absolutely bowled over by the news that we’ve won.”.

The ExcluSec Group Ltd is an accredited soft services provider, based in Bolton. They primarily offer security solutions and facilities management services to businesses in the Bolton, Manchester and Warrington areas but operate throughout the region.

The Hand on Heart charity funds the purchase of defibrillators for schools and community groups in efforts to prevent the needless death of children from sudden cardiac arrest. There are 12 child deaths each year from sudden cardiac arrest. Hands on Heart also provides defibrillator training to schools and basic life support skills training for young people throughout the UK. The charity has a sincere commitment to raising awareness of sudden cardiac arrest and has placed over 1,000 defibrillator packages throughout the UK to date.

Sponsors and supporters of the UK Heart Safe Awards enjoyed a relaxing drinks reception, dinner, raffle and dance at the Manchester Deansgate Hilton on 26 October, but the highlight of the evening was the awards ceremony. It’s been a fantastic year for ExcluSec so far. The business won the Bolton Business Award categories for Employer of the Year and Business Person of the Year in September and are finalists in the 2018 Security and Fire Excellence Awards.
