The ACS Pacesetters inaugural Achievement Awards lunch was held at Royal Windsor Racecourse on Wednesday, 4th June, where those members in attendance received an engraved plaque commemorating their achievement during 2013-2014.

National security provider, Ward Security has announced the appointment of Liz Buys in the role of Operations Director. Liz has 13 years experience working in the facilities management industry in both service delivery and holding various senior facilities management roles. She is member of the British Industry of Facilities Management and most recently worked at MJ Mapp where she worked for 7 years in a variety of key areas including Head of Operations at Covent Garden before leaving to work as a specialist independent consultant on operational areas.

On Thursday [3 April], a security director and the company she was running were found guilty of security offences. The offences were discovered during pre-London Olympic Games compliance checks undertaken by the Security Industry Authority.

The company has recruited Carl Martin, who joins the company with over twenty five years experience in security management as the new Associate Director for the South West region and Rod Butler who after a career spanning more than 10 years brings in depth industry knowledge to the London team.

William Lyle former Detective Superintendent for the Met Police has been appointed by CIS Security as Head of Security for King’s College London, one of the oldest and largest colleges of the University of London, ranked 19th in the world.
