Outstanding Work by frontline Security Officers recognised at the ACS Pacesetters Security Officer of Distinction Awards

May 22, 2025

We returned to Royal Windsor Racecourse for the ACS Pacesetters Security Officer of Distinction Awards on Wednesday, 21st May, and were joined by our members, together with their staff and clients, our sponsors and guests.

We would like to congratulate all the inspirational winners who are a credit to the Security Industry. The lifesaving acts, bravery and remarkable work of these frontline Security Officers has been exceptional. This year 12 Security Officer of Distinction Awards were made and a further 3 Highly Commended Certificates and we were delighted that Michelle Russell, CEO of The Security Industry Authority joined us and presented these well-deserved awards.

Michelle Russell said “It was an honour and a privilege to be able to meet some of the finest people working in the private security industry today and present them their awards. It is important that we collectively recognise individuals within the industry who go above and beyond in their responsibilities to protect the public. The ACS Pacesetter Security Officer of Distinction Awards are a fantastic forum to celebrate these inspirational people, and to raise money for vital causes like the Consortium for the Prevention of Suicide.”

We would also like to mention all of those who were nominated who should be congratulated on their achievements.

Hannah Wadey of The Safer Business Network was our guest speaker and updated the audience of their work to improve public safety through intelligence-led partnerships, training, and community engagement. Under her leadership, the organisation has worked extensively with high streets, small businesses, and the private security sector, ensuring that front line staff, security officers, customer service teams, and venue staff are equipped with the confidence, skills and resources to enhance public safety.
